Vyonyx would like to announce the immediate availability of a new and unique service – QuickSilver Imagery.
This type of visual has been naturally emerging and taking shape in our studio for the last few years.
It is a product of extensive research, experimenting with various techniques borrowed from neighboring industries and very valuable feedback from a few brave clients. It has been utilized successfully on a number of our own design projects with impressive results.
Finally, we decided to give that service some sort of shape, form and description – so everyone can assess it and make their own judgment for its potentials. Essentially it is an image produced in a day that has a strong impact on the observer without being specific about details. Most importantly it has all the ingredients needed for creating a memorable painting, photograph, sketch or a piece of art.
Vyonyx understands tight project deadlines, which is why we have developed a reputation which consistently delivers images and animations that meet an ever increasing demand for artistic, atmospheric and immersive visuals to aid architects and developers in communicating ideas to their clients. However, this has always been dependent upon the time and budgets available. In this current climate demand for such visuals is increasing but time and budgets are not. Utilizing our unique skill set and vast library of model and photographic assets, Vyonyx has developed a way to provide visuals that meet these time and budget constraints without compromising on the visualization needs of the client. We hope the following simple guide will help to explain QuickSilver imagery in more detail.

Terms and Conditions. Vyonyx “Quicksilver” images can only be commissioned if the following main constraints are adhered to:
• All models to be supplied are “FINAL”
• No amendments made after “FIRST” draft review
• Images will be completed in “ONE” studio day

Good Bad?
Great, I love it, and always check your website to see what you guys are up to. They are great in the way that they don’t look like they are ‘out of the box type render’. I create renders for landscape architects and urban designers and my problem is how much or how little detail do you show? because they are always going to ask questions that aren’t really necessary! Is that the correct texture/plant etc. At least with what you have created here is a abstract like showing a stylized visionary render. Anyway, I’m all for them, keep it up.
One question, how do you create the atmosphere/lighting effect during this process? it seams like the last thing in the process when you create these images.
Cheers
Jamie
Hi Jamie
Thanks for the comment. And, yes -that is correct. These types of images are best suite in cases where there is no clear design and detailing. They show the main concept and idea that will be carried through with a particular design solution and not necessary paying attention to insignificant details.
The “atmosphere” is painted in Photoshop using combination of normal and vivid layers.

The digital vignette! As an architecture student, this would be a wonderful way to incorporate the mood of a final render very early on in the design process (and without the 30 hour render times).
Great!
what are the costs of the renders????
Richard,
quicksliver images cost £1,000.
